URL Encoder
Percent-encode text, paths, query values, and form data locally in the browser.
URL encoding settings
Input
Private by design: your input never leaves your device.
URL encoding is context dependent. A full URL must not be encoded like a single query parameter value.
+ represents a space only for application/x-www-form-urlencoded. Normal percent encoding uses %20.
Output
Enter text or add query parameters.
Enter text or add query parameters.
Good to know
Good to know
The URL encoder encodes text directly in your browser according to a chosen encoding profile — single value, path, query, or full URI — since URL encoding is context-dependent and a full URL must not be encoded like a single query value. A query builder additionally lets you assemble parameters as name-value pairs.
Typical searches include encode URL, encode query parameter, and encodeURIComponent. The hex case of generated percent sequences can be chosen as upper or lower, and a percent mode determines whether existing %HH sequences are preserved or re-encoded. Encoding should usually be applied to individual parameter values, not blindly to a complete URL.
Typical use cases
Assemble query parameters with the query builder
Add name-value pairs in the query builder to generate a correctly encoded query string with an optional leading question mark.
Encode a single parameter value for an API request
Choose the “single value” profile to correctly encode exactly one parameter value, without altering reserved characters such as & or =.
Tips for better results
Never encode a full URL like a value
If : or / of a full URL get encoded too, the URL stops working — choose the matching profile for path or query instead.
Deliberately handle existing percent signs
Choose “preserve” in percent mode when the text already contains valid %HH sequences, to avoid accidental double encoding.

Features
Features
Four encoding profiles
Single value, path, query, or full URI — matching the respective target context.
Query builder
Add parameter rows to assemble a correctly encoded query string.
Local processing
Your inputs never leave your device; encoding runs entirely in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I encode a full URL with this tool?
Only with caution: encoding should be applied to individual parameter values, not blindly to a complete URL, otherwise structure such as :// or ? gets destroyed.
Are my inputs uploaded?
No. Encoding runs entirely locally in the browser.
