The page range can be set freely — empty, all, first, last, even/odd, or custom ranges such as “1,3-5,8-end” — with a maximum of 300 selected pages per run. Render resolution, color or grayscale, and JPEG quality can all be adjusted.

The result is a raster image: text is no longer selectable or searchable afterward, and JPEG does not support transparency. JPEG always uses an opaque background. If transparency is needed, for example for logos or graphics, PDF to PNG is the better choice.
