The resolution changer scales the entire visible video proportionally to a new pixel resolution directly in your browser, without cropping anything. The target method can be a preset resolution, a target edge (width or height, with the other side calculated proportionally), or a percentage scale.
An upscale option is disabled by default to avoid unwanted quality loss when the target resolution exceeds the source video. Upscaling does not add real detail; downscaling can reduce perceived sharpness.
