How to create a new Workflow Rule

This Tutorial requires a previous execution of How to create a new E-Mail Template.

This tutorial describes how to create a new Workflow Rule. Workflow rules allow you to automatically send email notifications or update field values based on conditions that you define. It requires a previous execution of How to create a new E-Mail Template.

  1. Move the mouse over the label
    Administration
    in the top right corner (without clicking it)
  2. A panel containing all the different admin options will pop up: on this panel click on label
    Workflow Rules

  3. In the tree view on the left side of the pop up, click on the node
    Idea

  4. Click on the green button
    + Workflow Rule
    on top of the main workspace area
  5. A new Workflow Rule is created and a form panel comes up where attributes of the Workflow Rule can be set
  6. Enter into field
    Name
    Ideas

  7. Enter into field
    Condition
    Idea.state = 'Implemented'

  8. Click on the blue button
    Save
    below the attributes form panel
  9. The new Workflow Rule is now saved to the database
  10. Click on the register
    Workflow Rule Actions
    next to the attributes tab
  11. Click on the green icon button
    Add
    on top of the register table
  12. Enter into field
    Name
    Send Mail

  13. Click in the text input field
    E-Mail Template

  14. A pop up containing a list of existing E-Mail Templates will be displayed
  15. Select entry
    Ideas
    from this list by clicking on it. If
    Ideas
    is not yet shown, enter characters
    I
    ,
    d
    ,
    e
    , etc. until it is displayed
  16. Click on the blue button
    Save
    below the attributes form panel
  17. The new Email Notification is now saved to the database
  18. Click on the Close-Icon
    X
    in the top right corner of the pop up to close the window
  19. Click on the Close-Icon
    X
    in the top right corner of the pop up to close the window
