What does Premium cost per person?
One person buys, everyone in the group gets Premium. Whoever pays simply adds it as a shared expense.

You buy inside the app
You buy the group license in the group itself, even without an account. The yearly plan and lifetime are bought in your account; you secure it first with a passkey, Google or Apple, so the license isn't lost with your device. Payment is handled securely by Stripe. All prices include VAT.

Is Split really free?
Yes. Groups, expenses, every way of splitting, offline mode and settling up are free and unlimited. Split shows no ads, not even in the free version.
Who has to buy the group license?
One person is enough. Once they unlock the group, Premium applies to every member. They can add the amount as a shared expense and split it with everyone.
Do I need an account to buy it?
Not for the group license: it belongs to the group, not to a person, and you buy it inside the group, even without signing up. For the yearly plan and lifetime you first secure your account with a passkey, Google or Apple, so the license isn't lost with your device. Payment is handled by Stripe; Split never sees card details.
Group license, yearly or lifetime – which fits us?
For a single trip or event the group license is enough: it unlocks exactly that group. The yearly plan and lifetime apply in every group you're a member of, including new ones, and also unlock CSV export. Lifetime costs as much as three yearly plans and never expires.
Are there limits for receipts?
Receipts follow fair use: up to 10 receipts per entry and 1 GB per group. Split shrinks photos before uploading, so well over 2,000 receipts fit in a group. If a group rests for 24 months, Split removes the receipt photos from the server; groups and expenses stay. There's no limit on people or entries.
How do I cancel the yearly plan?
In Stripe's customer portal, which you open in Split under “Account”. That's also where you manage your payment method and invoices.
What happens to my receipts when Premium ends?
Nothing is deleted. Existing receipts stay readable. Only new receipts can no longer be added without Premium.
