For barbecues
Everyone brings something. Split does the maths.
One buys the meat, another the charcoal, someone the drinks. Split works out who owes whom at the end.

How Split helps
- 01
Meat only for those who eat it
Pick the participants for each expense. Whoever eats vegetarian doesn't pay for the meat.
- 02
Money back to the group
Deposits or refunds go in as income. Split shares them fairly instead of leaving them with one person.
- 03
Settle up the next day
Split suggests the transfers. One or two are usually enough to even everything out.
Tips
- 1
Agree in the chat who buys what, and create the group right there.
- 2
Keep receipts for anything you get money back for and add it as income.
- 3
Anyone who just drops by and doesn't eat doesn't need to be in the group.

Frequently asked questions
Your question isn't here? Write to us
Some of us don't eat meat. Do they pay for it anyway?
Only if you want them to. Add the meat as its own expense and pick only those who eat it. Veggie food, salads and charcoal are shared by everyone.
What about money we get back, like a bottle deposit?
Whoever gets money back adds it as income. Split shares it among the people who paid for the drinks.
Does whoever brings the grill pay less?
That's up to you. An agreed amount for gas or wear can be added as an expense paid by the grill's owner, which everyone shares.
