How Split helps

  • All moving costs in one place

Deposit, agent, van, furniture and DIY store: it all lands in one group instead of chat messages and bank statements.

  • Fair, even with different incomes

Split equally, by shares or by percentage. You decide what's fair.

  • Clear later on

Every expense stays in the history with date and amount. Who bought what is still there years later.

Tips

  • Agree before the move how you split: 50:50, by income or per purchase.

  • Add the deposit, even if it only matters again when you move out.

  • Keep the group after the move, so the history stays.

Frequently asked questions

Your question isn't here? Write to us

Does the deposit belong in the group?

Yes, if one person paid it for both. Then it's clear later who is owed which part. When you get it back on moving out, add it as income.

We earn different amounts. Do we have to split 50:50?

No. Split by shares or by percentage, for example 60 to 40. You decide what's fair; Split does the maths.

What's the group good for after the move?

The history shows with date and amount who paid for which purchase. You can then keep the group going as your household budget.
