When Split syncs

Split saves every change on your device right away and syncs it with the server in the background. That way everyone in the group sees the same numbers.

Step by step

1. 1

   Instantly on your device

   Every entry and every change lands on your device right away – even without a connection.

   In the background to the server

   When you're online, Split sends your changes and fetches the others'. Without a connection it shows “Offline – changes are saved on this device” and catches up once you're back online.

3. 3

   For the others

   The others see your change as soon as their device is online and Split is opened there.

4. 4

   Simultaneous changes

   If two people changed the same entry at almost the same time, Split says “This entry was changed in the meantime” and loads the current version. Check your change and save it again.
