Step by step

  1. 1

    On your device

Split stores groups, entries and payments on your device first. That's why it works without a connection.

  2. 2

    On the server

So everyone in the group sees the same numbers, Split syncs the data via a server at Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. The connection is encrypted, and the data is stored encrypted on the server.

  3. 3

    Who sees it

Only its members see a group. Within the group, everyone sees all entries and changes – so it stays clear who entered what.

Good to know

  • Split is not end-to-end encrypted. Xoricon only uses the content to run Split and doesn't sell it.
  • Only Stripe sees card details when you buy Premium.
