Turn on notifications

Split can let you know when something happens in your groups, even when the app is closed. You choose what for.

Step by step

    Open notifications

    Open “Account & settings” and tap “Notifications”.

    Turn them on

    Tap “Enable notifications” and allow them when your browser asks.

    Choose what for

    Under “What for”, pick “New expense or income”, “Members & group link” (new members and renewed group links) and “Marked as paid”. “Push notifications” turns all of them off or on for this device.

Good to know

  • On iPhone and iPad this only works when Split is installed via “Add to Home Screen”.
  • The setting applies to this device. Turn it on separately on every other device.
  • You don't get messages for your own entries, only for the others'.
  • The “Balance reminder” will follow later.
  • If you blocked notifications in the browser, allow them again in the site settings.
