Split works right in the browser. As an installed app, though, it starts faster, works reliably offline and is better protected against data loss on iOS.

   There faster

   The app sits on your home screen and opens with one tap, without the browser bar.

   Even offline

   Once installed, Split starts without a connection too, and you can add expenses that sync later.

   Safer on iOS

   Safari may delete website data that hasn't been opened for a few days. On the home screen, Split is exempt.
