Install
Install on Android
On Android you install Split straight from Chrome – no Google Play needed. Afterwards it starts like any other app, in its own window and even offline.

Step by step
- 1
Open Split in Chrome
Open Split in Chrome.
- 2
Tap “Install”
At the top of Split's start screen you'll see the hint “Install as app”. Tap “Install” there and confirm in Chrome's dialog.
If the hint isn't there, open the Chrome menu (⋮) and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”. You'll also find “Install as app” in Split's account screen.
- 3
Start Split from the home screen
Split is now on your home screen and in the app drawer. From now on, start it from there.
Good to know
- If you dismissed the hint with “✕”, it won't come back. You can still install via the Chrome menu or under “Install as app” in your account.
- Once Split is installed, it no longer shows the hint.
- On a computer it works the same in Chrome and Edge: via the hint in Split or the install icon in the address bar.
