Remove a person or mark them as left

Added twice, or no longer taking part? Anyone who isn't part of an entry can be removed. Everyone else you mark as left, so settling up and the history stay correct.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the members

Open the group and choose “Manage members” in the group menu.

  2. 2

    Remove a person

If the person isn't part of any entry and hasn't joined yet, there's a bin next to them. Tap it and confirm with “Remove”.

  3. 3

    Mark as left

If the person is already part of entries, tap “Mark as left” next to them and confirm. They are then no longer included in new entries.

  4. 4

    Bring them back

If the person takes part again after all, tap “Reactivate” next to them.

Good to know

  • Anyone who has left stays in settling up and the history. If the person still has an open balance, Split points it out; it's best to settle it first.
  • Deleted entries count as taking part too, because they can be restored.
  • You don't mark yourself as left. If you no longer want to take part, leave the group from the group menu.
  • Split remembers the change offline too and syncs it later.
